Ants Are a Documented Health Violation Risk in Healthcare Settings
Ghost ants and pharaoh ants are the two species most commonly found in Florida healthcare facilities, and both represent a serious regulatory and patient safety concern. Pharaoh ants in particular are known vectors of Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, and Clostridium, capable of transmitting pathogens by foraging through wounds, IV lines, and sterile supply areas. A confirmed ant sighting in a patient care area is a citable ACHA deficiency. Pest Pro's protocols specifically address ant pressure in healthcare environments, targeting colony entry points, foraging routes, and harborage conditions with methods appropriate for occupied, sensitive-care facilities.
