Treatments & Safety

Are your treatments safe for pets and children?

+

Yes. Pest Pro uses Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols that prioritize targeted, low-impact treatments. All products are EPA-registered and approved for residential use. Before any treatment, your technician will advise you on any specific precautions for pets or young children, including recommended re-entry times.

What is Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and why does it matter?

+

IPM is a science-based approach that combines inspection, monitoring, prevention, and targeted treatment to eliminate pests while minimizing unnecessary chemical application. Rather than applying pesticides on a calendar schedule, we identify the source of the problem and treat it precisely. The result is longer-lasting protection with fewer treatments and less environmental impact.

Do I need to leave my home during treatment?

+

It depends on the treatment type. For most routine exterior and general pest treatments, you do not need to leave. For certain interior treatments, we may ask that people and pets vacate for a short period while product dries. Your technician will give you specific guidance before starting any work.

Are you licensed and insured?

+

Yes. Pest Pro LLC is fully licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS License JB304313) and carries full liability insurance. Every technician performing services is trained, vetted, and compliant with all Florida pest control regulations.

Specific Pests

How do I know if I have a German roach infestation?

+

German roaches are small (about half an inch), light brown with two dark stripes behind the head. Signs include small dark droppings that resemble black pepper, egg casings in cabinet corners or behind appliances, a musty odor, and live roaches visible during daylight hours. If you are seeing them during the day, the infestation is already significant. Call us immediately.

What is the difference between a Palmetto bug and a German roach?

+

Palmetto bugs (American roaches) are large, reddish-brown, and typically enter homes from outside seeking moisture. German roaches are much smaller, light brown, and breed exclusively indoors. Treatment is completely different. German roaches require targeted gel baiting and crack-and-crevice applications. Palmetto bugs are addressed through perimeter exclusion and exterior barriers. Correct identification matters.

How do you treat for bed bugs?

+

Pest Pro uses targeted chemical treatment protocols for bed bugs. Treatment covers mattress seams, bed frames, headboards, wall outlets, baseboards, and all known harborage areas. Adjacent rooms and units are inspected as standard practice. All treatments are performed discreetly and professionally, particularly for hotel and resort clients where guest experience is paramount.

Do you handle rodent control and exclusion?

+

Yes. Our rodent programs include trapping, removal, and exclusion work to seal entry points. We also offer tamper-resistant bait station installation as part of our Annual Prevention Program and commercial accounts. Addressing entry points is essential to preventing reinfestation.

Commercial Services

Do you provide compliance documentation for commercial accounts?

+

Yes. All commercial accounts receive full service documentation including inspection reports, treatment records, sighting logs, and compliance paperwork. For healthcare clients, we follow ACHA, EPA, and FIFRA regulatory guidelines. For food service clients, we maintain documentation suitable for health department inspections. Everything is audit-ready.

Do you offer staff training programs for hotels and resorts?

+

Yes. Pest Pro designs and delivers on-site pest awareness and response training programs for hospitality, healthcare, and commercial property teams. Programs are available in English and Spanish, and are customized to the property's protocols and pest risk profile. Training is a core component of our commercial IPM programs.

Can you service multiple locations under one account?

+

Yes. We offer multi-location programs with consolidated billing and dedicated account management. Call us to discuss your portfolio and we will build a program that fits.
